Hi! My name is Buster and I was born in South Dakota. I came to live with my mommy and daddy on March 13, 2001 when I was 4-1/2 months old. They had been looking and looking for a puppy like me but couldn't find one. Then my big sister found me in a pet store in Connecticut. She called my parents and they went right down there to take a look at me.
Well, I put on my really, really cute act and my mommy loved me right away! You see I was in a big cage with other puppies my size. Along came these two Beagle brothers and they knocked me on my fuzzy bottom! I wasn't going to take that from them with my almost new mommy watching! So I shook my head and got up and went after them. I heard her say to my sister "go get 'em Buster" and that was how I got my name.
My mommy and daddy love me very much. I used to have a sister but she went to doggie heaven 13 years ago. They had to wait a long time until they were ready for another puppy because they had my sister for 17 years. And now they have me and they love me lots and lots.
I went to Connecticut last week to see my two doggie nephews. They didn't know what to make of me. But I showed them I was fun. One of them didn't agree with me but the other one did. Then I went to see my kitty nephews in Cranston. They definitely didn't think I was fun because they all ran downstairs and hid. Gosh! All I wanted to do was play.
I am really, really happy in my new home. I am loved and I wish all puppies could feel as warm and fuzzy inside as I do when my mommy gets on the floor with me to play.
